Teleca in Poland
In 2007, Teleca opened a European nearshore center in Łodź, Poland. Łódź is the second largest city in Poland convenientely located 120 km outside of Poland's capital city Warsaw. The Polish office provides software engineering services for global clients as well as Teleca offices located across Europe. Today, Teleca in Poland has 100 highly skilled and motivated software engineers. Teleca Poland premises have been audited and certified by Tier 1 customers for source code work as well as prototype maintenance, which proves that Teleca is able to meet the highest security and process standards. Global Teleca processes for quality management, project management, confidential information handling and IPR protection are implemented successfully. In 2008, as a part of a Teleca global initiative, the Polish site has passed the ISO 9001 certification.
Through its close cooperation with the Technical University of Łodź and the University of Łodź, Teleca is recognized as a leading employeer on the local market, creating an interesting value proposition for candidates expecting challenging and demanding work in the international environment with the latest in mobile technologies. Teleca in Poland has opened the first Polish Symbian Academy, which is affiliated with the local university. There is also have a well-performing recruitment and selection process in place for MSc and PhD graduates. All employees are trained not only with specific software engineering topics; there is also emphasis on the importance of soft skills, so the team is effective in multisite and multinational projects with a proactive and result-oriented approach.
