Symbian Foundation

The Symbian Foundation non profitable community established to provide, manage & unify the most proven and complete smart phone software platform in the world. It is also committed to move the platform to open source during the coming years and will make the whole platform code available to all for free.

Before Symbian Foundation was formed Teleca was an accredited Symbian Independent Design House (IDH). We were one of the first companies to become an accredited Symbian Competence Center. This gave us the benefit of trusted access to Symbian OS source code, premium support from Symbian, excellent training opportunities and a complete understanding of the Symbian OS roadmap.

After Symbian Foundation is formed, Teleca is one of first company to be the member of it. We have been supporting Symbian Foundation by actively being part of “Release Council”. We have been actively participating in all the meetings & discussion conducted by Symbian Foundation. We are also commited to support Symbian Foundation in other working groups whenever Teleca’s unique expertise skill are required. Teleca has been actively supporting Symbian Foundation members in adapting Symbian Foundation and commercializing it.

We offer services and solutions for Hardware Reference Designs, Telephony, Systems Integration, UI Customization and application development on Symbian and have competence centers in Europe, Asia and the US. We have more than 500 experienced Symbian engineers around the world.
